1. Use a ring you already own

2. Measure the finger
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure the length flat against a ruler. That length is the circumference.

Before you measure
- Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are at their largest then.
- Skip it if your hands are cold. You will read a size too small.
- Between two sizes? Round up. A ring that is slightly loose still wears; one that is slightly tight does not.
- Knuckle wider than the base of the finger? Size to the knuckle.
